Both productions completed very successful runs this summer, with Grease selling out all but one performance of its ten show run, smashing Gaithersburg Arts Barn records. Thanks to everyone involved, we hope to see you next year!

Announcements for 2017 Season:

After analyzing the incredible success of WST's first two show season since 1991, the Board of Directors has decided to put on two shows yet again for this upcoming season. This will mark the first time Wildwood has ever done two show seasons twice in a row.

We are thrilled to announce The following Positions have been filled for our UPCOMING season:

Producer: Christopher Walkup

This upcoming season will be Christopher's fourth season with Wildwood. He first joined the company in 2014 when he played the role of Narrator in Into The Woods. He then played Collins in RENT, and was the Associate Producer for Grease and Nine. Christopher was the president and producer of the Maryland Shakespeare Players' club from May 2014 to July 2016, and plans to graduate from UMD next May with a B.A. in both Theatre and Government and Politics.

Director of Fundraising: Kara O'Leary

Kara is currently a financial assistant at Angerholzer Broz Consulting in D.C. where she has been doing fundraising, event planning, and relationship building with members of Congress and lobbyists since May. She holds B.A. degrees in both French and Middle Eastern Studies from Hood College. This upcoming season will be Kara's first with Wildwood, and her first theatrical production since high school.

Mainstage Director: Jake Young

Jake is returning to Wildwood after a very successful first season as the director of Grease. Grease sold out every performance of its ten show run except for one, which led it to break venue records. For the past four summers Jake has been a camp counselor and drama teacher at Black Rock Center for the Arts in Germantown. He graduated from Susquehanna University last May with B.A. degrees in both Theatre and German.

SecondStage DIRECTOR: Itai Yasur

Itai was most recently involved with Wildwood as the conductor for Into The Woods. Since then, he has gone on to write and direct two shows, Awake All Night, which premiered at the 2015 Capital Fringe Festival, and Just Another Testimony, which was performed at the 2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Most recently, Itai wrote the music and lyrics for How to Give Birth to A Rabbit, which debuted at the 2016 Capital Fringe Festival and was called "best of the 2016 Capital Fringe" by DC Metro Theatre Arts.
