For your audition, please prepare:

  • 16-32 bars of an appropriate contemporary musical theatre song that showcases your talents. Sheet music should include the piano part and/or chord changes for the accompanist.

  • A one minute monologue of either your choice or from our list of selected monologues.

  • A headshot and/or resume. If you don't have headshots, a recent photo will suffice.

  • Bring a completed audition form.

  • Please come prepared to learn a dance combo.

Experience is not necessary! The only audition requirement is that you will be between the ages of 14-25 as of June 1st, 2019. Wildwood Summer Theatre is an all-volunteer community theater. WST is a free tuition program. The only fee every member has to pay is a one time $50 membership dues if participating in the production. Need-based financial aid available.

Seeing as how a majority of our company is comprised of students, we completely understand how making auditions back home can be difficult. While we strongly recommend an in-person audition, if you are unavailable for both weekends, you may also audition via video. If you choose this route, please follow the directions below.

  1. Record yourself singing at least one minute of an appropriate musical theatre song that showcases your talents. You can sing along to karaoke or have an accompanist (but not a capella).

  2. Record yourself performing a 1 minute monologue of choice or from our selection of monologues.

  3. Send the aforementioned videos, a resume, headshot, and completed audition form via email to producer@wst.org no later than March 22nd at 7:00 PM. If you are unable to attend auditions but are able to attend a callback, please indicate this fact in your email.
